Greetings,

We have reached out about past GKIDS Japanese releases, but we are excited to share a new initiative that may be of interest to your community. We are partnering with Fathom Events to host Studio Ghibli Fest 2017, a six month celebration that brings one beloved Ghibli film back to theaters per month for 2 days each, providing a rare opportunity for audiences to experience these films on the big screen. Each film will screen in its English language dub on a Sunday matinee, followed by a Monday night screening in Japanese with English subtitles.

After a very successful launch with Kiki’s Delivery Service last month, we are continuing the fest with Castle in the Sky on August 27 and 28. There are a number of theaters in the Georgia area that will be playing the film (list copied below).

More information on Studio Ghibli Fest 2017 can be found on the website, and tickets for Castle can be available here.

If you’re able to share the news with your group, we would be very appreciative. We also have postcards that outline all festival info that we can send to your group as well. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional information.
