Tanabata: The Night When Love Prevails

Across Japan, many celebrate Tanabata which starts around July 7th each year by writing their wishes on colorful pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo tree branches. The festival is also celebrated late July or early August throughout areas in Japan including Miyagi, Kanagawa, Aichi, and more.
