Yumi Kurosawa Joins JapanFest 2017


JapanFest will feature spectacular musicianship from Yumi Kurosawa as she uses the national instrument of Japan: The Koto! Kurosawa, a renowned 13 & 20-strings Koto player, will be playing several selections this year. Having debuted at Carnegie Hall in 2006 and continuing her career with groups like the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra, the Houston Grand Opera, and now with local New York City venues like Joe’s Pub, the Highline Ballroom, the Blue Note, Apollo Theatre, and more, her performance is sure to impress.
