As you may know, Atlanta is hosting the 2016 Japan-America Grassroots Summit, taking place October 4-11, 2016. The Summit, jointly organized by The Japan-America Society of Georgia (JASG) and the Center for International Exchange (CIE) in Japan with support from the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta, aims to strengthen the peaceful relationship between Japan and the United States by fostering grassroots friendships through a one-week cultural exchange program for all ages.
The highlight of the program is a 3-night homestay experience for participants to learn the unique customs and culture of the Southeast in 15 different communities in Greater Atlanta. While we have reached our target for host families in most areas, we still need some home stays for guests in and around the Marietta area (including Vinings, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Roswell, Acworth, and the surrounding areas). If you or you know anyone that would be interested in hosting someone from Japan and be part of this special program, please consider applying at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/17oiYNO0n_YDAt-8kuq_kCk2apt58MIvgH5Ecx_t4AXs/viewform?edit_requested=true
